FRQNCY Media, an Atlanta-based podcast production company, is encouraging entrepreneurs and businesses large and small to consider podcasting as a useful tool for connection and business continuity during the COVID-19 pandemic.
FRQNCY is offering a variety of resources and support services to the public for free as a way of introducing the benefits of podcasting to a broader audience.
Its popular online course, "Podcasting 101: The Strategic Guide to Launching a Kick-Ass Podcast," is available for free on Teachable with the code "ATHOME." The course includes tutorial videos and a comprehensive workbook, guiding podcasters – new and seasoned – through the entire process of creating a strategic and intentional podcast from concept to production to launch.
In addition to the online course, FRQNCY has published its Remote Interview Guide – typically only available to clients – to its blog.
The company will also host a series of live conversations on its Facebook page around popular industry topics and podcaster FAQs, including how podcasts can serve a greater purpose during the pandemic. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions live, workshop their podcast ideas, and share their personal experiences.
Upcoming Live Streams:
- Monday, March 30: Live Podcast Workshop: Fine Tune Your Content & Plan for Production (For Podcasting 101 Students)
- Wednesday, April 1: Power Play: Grow Your Audience With Podcasting & Digital Marketing
- Replay: Podcasting AMA: How to Find Creative Freedom With a Podcast (Streamed live on Facebook on March 25)
"Podcasts are uniquely positioned to support creators and businesses during such uncertain times. Podcasting sits squarely at the intersection of creativity, technology and storytelling. Because of this, they can be recorded from virtually anywhere and listened to from literally everywhere – perfect for this moment in time when we need to be physically distant, but can still find ways to remain socially close." MICHELLE KHOURI, FOUNDER & CEO, FRQNCY MEDIA
Companies wielding the power of podcasts
Two of FRQNCY's clients, SalesLoft and The Freeing Energy Project, are already using their podcasts to address how COVID-19 is affecting their respective worlds.
Through its "Hey Salespeople" podcast, SalesLoft executives, for example, talk about how sales organizations are coming up with creative solutions for maintaining connectivity, productivity, and culture despite social distancing.
Bill Nussey, host of The Freeing Energy Podcast, held an exclusive interview with global supply chain expert Andy Klump, whose firm is headquartered in Shanghai, China. Klump shared his unique insights on how the COVID-19 outbreak is affecting Chinese manufacturing, the impact it's having on renewable energy projects around the world, and the steps needed to get the global system back on an even keel.
"Our clients are learning the power and flexibility of podcasting," said Khouri, a podcaster herself. Khouri founded FRQNCY in 2018 to aid individuals and organizations – no matter their size or budget – in creating high-quality podcasts in support of their goals.
"FRQNCY's core mission is to heal, uplift and enlighten through sound, and what a time to fulfill that mission. We want to empower people and help them feel a sense of grounding and purpose. It's important now more than ever that we maintain a sense of community." MICHELLE KHOURI, FOUNDER & CEO, FRQNCY MEDIA
FRQNCY's client roster includes a variety of for-profit and non-profit organizations such as The Coca-Cola Company, Georgia Council for Developmental Disabilities, Apple and The Statue of Liberty-Ellis Island Foundation, LaunchPad2x and SalesLoft and as well as independent podcasters, such as mompreneur Erin Gendron.
FRQNCY most recently produced the debut podcast for fashion icon Diane von Furstenberg (DVF), which launched exclusively on Spotify March 12.
