CALL TO ACTION: Georgia's Employment First Act

Hello Employment Advocates!

 
As many of you know, HB 831, Georgia’s Employment First Act, survived Crossover Day. Having already passed the House of Representatives, HB 831 is now in the Senate, specifically the Senate Economic Developmental & Tourism Committee.
 
HB 831 is scheduled for a hearing tomorrow, March 6 at 1:00 PM, in the State Capitol Building in Room 125.
 
We need your help to make this committee meeting a success.

1. Attend the committee meeting tomorrow, March 6. (If you plant to attend, double check the room number has not changed here)
2. Call your Senator, especially if they are a member of the Senate Economic Development & Tourism Committee. Ask them to support HB 831 with no changes to the current language as passed by the House of Representatives as that could significantly weaken the legislation. Tell them you are constituent and that passing HB 831 is important to you.
