Participants needed for The Family Mentor Program

Help influence the social work professionals of tomorrow through this fantastic Family Mentoring opportunity!! This is your chance to “educate the next generation of leaders who will support people with disabilities
and their families in living more productive, fuller lives.” Dr. Daniel Crimmins, PhD, Director – Center for Leadership in Disability, GSU

FAMILY MENTOR REQUIREMENTS: We are looking for families who are willing to share their story and family experience of having a young child with a developmental disability with a master level students in the social work
program (MSW) at Emory University.

TIME OBLIGATION: The Family Mentor would be asked to meet with their assigned Emory MSW student for a minimum of 3 visits at 1-3 hours/visit.

Where and When: The Family Mentor has total control over the time and location! The Emory MSW students understand your busy schedule and will contact their assigned Family Mentor to schedule the meetings at a time and
location for your family’s convenience.

DATES FOR VISITS: The Emory MSW students are required to meet with their assigned Family Mentor a minimum of 3 visits between the dates of 1/17/2017 – 4/18/2017.

STIPEND: The Family Mentor will receive a stipend of $100/family.
