Martin Luther King Jr Day Parade Disability Rights Marchers

Monday, January 18, 2016

Meet up at 1pm

Join the Disability Community reminding everyone that, "Disability Rights are Civil Rights". Bring your banners, signs, etc. - we had a good time last year and a positive impact on the crowd!

* Rain or Shine (prepare for both!)....it is likely to be chilly

* Meet up at Peachtree and Ellis (downtown Atlanta) - expect to stand/sit around for a while before the parade begins - bring whatever you need to make it through the afternoon...water, snacks, medications - please consider using MARTA to travel downtown http://www.itsmarta.com/

* Route is about 1 mile (primarily from Peachtree/Baker - down Auburn Ave - to the Martin Luther King Jr. Historic Site at Auburn/Boulevard) - the parade is on city streets with all the typical concerns and obstacles, please be careful - parade organizers cannot take responsibility for anything that happens...you participate at your own risk

For more information please contact Linda Pogue at disABILITY LINK - or 404-687-8890 x114 and our partners, we look forward to your participation.
