CRPD Action Alert - Call in Your Support Every Day This Week!

The United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) is an international disability treaty that was inspired by U.S. leadership in recognizing the rights of people with disabilities. Our Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), which values independence, respect, and the commitment to reasonable accommodation, was the model for the CRPD. The second hearing for this treaty will be Thursday November 21st at 9:30am. It is important that our Georgia Senators and Senate Leaders hear from you!

Please call Senator Chambliss and Senator Isakson today and every day this week! Tell them you support CRPD and ask them to move forward with ratification. If you use Twitter, send a tweet! Even if you've called before, calling this week is critical!

It is also very important to call Senator Menendez and Senator Corker, the Chairman and Ranking Member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. They need to hear from all Americans about how important the CRPD is for people with disabilities around the world.
