Georgia Council on Developmental Disabilities 2012-2016 Draft State Plan Available for Public Comment

Greetings,

Every five years, the Georgia Council on Developmental Disabilities (GCDD) is required by the United States Administration on Developmental Disabilities to create a five-year state plan focused on how it will use its resources to support systems change, capacity building and advocacy that results in people with developmental disabilities becoming more independent, economically self-sufficient, integrated and included in the community, and self-determined in their lives.

Based on the work of the GCDD members, we have developed a draft State Plan for 2012-2016. The GCDD 2012-2016 draft State Plan is now available for public comment. You may request a copy by calling 404-657-2126.

The draft of the State Plan will be available for public comment until July 1, 2011.

The public has four options for providing the GCDD members with comments about the Draft plan:

  1. You may participate in an online survey at http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/gcddsurvey
  2. By e-mailing comments to "> or by using our Facebook page www.facebook.com/georgiaddcouncil. (If you comment on a specific objective, please note which objective you are addressing.)
  3. Participate in a webinar that will take place on Tuesday June 21, 2011 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.  (Webinar access now closed.)
  4. By mailing your comments to:
