GCDD Launches Spirit of Kim Award, Nominations Now Open
The Spirit of Kim Award recognizes an individual who demonstrates selfless service to Georgia's intellectual/developmental disability (I/DD) community. The award is sponsored by the Georgia Council on Developmental Disabilities. The recipient of this award will embody the generous and dedicated spirit of GCDD's late Office Manager Kim Person who passed away suddenly in July 2023.
AWARD ELIGIBILITY
Eligible nominees are employees, volunteers, self-advocates, family advocates, or anyone who demonstrates selfless service to Georgia's I/DD community and who have made an impact, preferably behind-the-scenes, to advance GCDD’s mission to bring about social and policy changes that promote opportunities for the wide spectrum of diverse people/persons with developmental disabilities and their families to live, learn, work, play and worship in their communities. Self nominations are also welcome.
GCDD staff and members cannot be nominated for this award.
WHO MAY NOMINATE A SPIRIT OF KIM UNSUNG HERO?
Self-nominators, organizations, and community members – Anyone can submit a nomination form.
HOW CAN I NOMINATE A SPIRIT OF KIM UNSUNG HERO?
GCDD will accept nominations three ways:
• Complete the online Google nomination form and submit it electronically;
• Download this nomination form and email it to - (PDF) (WORD DOC)
• Submit your nomination by phone at 470-366-5734. Those who would like to use this nomination method will need to answer all the questions below during the call.
ALL NOMINATIONS ARE DUE TO GCDD BY 11:59 PM AUGUST 31, 2024.
