Family Advocates Coalition

Project ended: March 2025
Project description: Claritas Creative is leading this project that will positively impact the lives of people with developmental disabilities in Georgia through legislative action initiated by an effective coalition of family advocates.
Get Out the Vote/Civic Engagement
Grantee: Crimminz and Associates
Project ended: November 2024
Project description: Crimminz and Associates is leading this project to educate and energize voters with disabilities across the state of Georgia. This project will fund grassroots efforts to promote local civic engagement in historically marginalized and underrepresented communities or rural areas.
Implementation of Training Modules for Georgia as a Model Employer (GAME)
Grantee: Blind Bear Creative
Project ended: September 2025
Project description: The goal of the project is design, develop, and implement comprehensive virtual training modules that support Georgia’s efforts to become a Model Employer of individuals with disabilities. This initiative is aligned with the legislative and policy framework established under Georgia’s GAME initiative (24 LC 36 56644; SB 384) and seeks to empower state agencies to foster inclusive employment practices.

Project description: The goal of Project SEARCH is to prepare young adults with I/DD for competitive, integrated employment through workplace training, education, and mentorship. As of October 2024, the Georgia Vocational Rehabilitation Agency will take over statewide support of Project SEARCH.
