The Georgia Council on Developmental Disabilities' (GCDD) Spring edition of the Making a Difference quarterly news magazine is all about advocacy! This issue gives a recap on GCDD's legislative priorities for 2020 spearheaded by a new public policy team, Dr. Alyssa Lee and Charlie Miller. The issue also recaps GCDD's Advocacy Days at the Georgia State Capitol in downtown Atlanta, which had a record-breaking year thanks to all of our advocates.
The issue sets up parents for success as they get ready for IEP planning for the next school year. The main feature discusses everything that parents should know about having a successful IEP meeting and preparing their student for success.
And as the nation and the state was impacted by COVID-19, GCDD also features a COVID-19 resources page that allows our readers to stay engaged and informed about the pandemic.
