Join Engage Now Georgia! for information about how to tap into resources to support more opportunities for people with disabilities to participate in community life. They want to hear from you as they work to improve supports for you and your loved ones.

The Engage Now Georgia! Project is designed to expand capacity to support employment and community life engagement in Georgia for people with developmental disabilities. This project is funded by the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD). Partners include the University of Georgia, David Ralston Institute for Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities, Center on Human Development and Disability (UGA), the Institute for Community Inclusion at the University of Massachusetts Boston (ICI), and the National Association of State Directors of Developmental Disabilities Services (NASDDDS). 

This event is hosted by Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) in partnership with University of Georgia. The location is at Douglasville Conference Center in Douglasville.

GCDD hosts and supports multiple events throughout the year and we welcome and encourage event submissions for our online calendar of events. To submit an event to our online calendar, complete this form.

Event submission guidelines:

  • Organizations are restricted to submitting no more than two events per month.
  • Submissions must be received at least three weeks in advance of the event.
  • Events must align with GCDD's mission.
  • Detailed contact information is required in the event clarification is needed for a submission
  • The person submitting information about the event is responsible for the accuracy of the submission.
  • Fundraisers and fundraising events are prohibited.
