Attend a Reading of "Waddie Welcome and the Beloved Community" on MLK Day

GCDD encourages you to attend the reading of Waddie Welcome and the Beloved Community by Tom Kohler and Susan Earl on January 17, 2011 at the Children's Museum of Atlanta at 12 PM, hosted by Citizen Advocacy of Atlanta and DeKalb. For subscribers to the Georgia Radio Reading  Service (GaRRS) who cannot make it to the Children's Museum, a reading will air on GaRRS (www.garrs.net) on January 17, 2011 from 3 PM--5 PM.  The book celebrates the life and influence of Waddie Welcome and the citizens who became his friends and advocates. His story is one of community, friendship and freedom. If you haven't read the book, you won't want to miss these readings. It will definitely inspire you!
