Public forums on developmental disabilities planned

The Georgia Council on Developmental Disabilities will host a series of 11 public forums Monday through September across the statee to collect input on its next strategic plan. Organizers hope feedback from the community on subjects ranging from employment to education to housing and services will assist in creating a foundation and direction for the council’s activities, programs and services over the next five years.

“These meetings are excellent opportunities for individuals with disabilities, their family members, caregivers, friends and others to have meaningful input into how the council can actively improve on what we are already doing as an organization,” GCDD Executive Director Eric E. Jacobson said. “We want to ensure that we are recognizing and remaining current”

Although advance registration is preferred, it is not a requirement to attend. Registration for all forums can be accessed by logging onto https://oneillcomm.wufoo.com/forms/gcdd-public-forum-registration/.
