Planning and Policy Development Specialist Position Available

With the many policy changes and challenges that face people with developmental disabilities and their families, GCDD seeks to hire a Planning and Policy Development Specialist.  

The position reports to the Public Policy Director and work is performed under general supervision with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgement. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Performing research and analysis of best and promising policies and practices related to people with developmental disabilities
  • Routine monitoring and reporting of grantee progress and project outcomes.  Ensure grantee adheres to project timelines and deliverables.
  • Develop materials and assist in presentations to the Council and represent the Council on committees and workgroups as needed.
  • Coordinating public policy related coalition meetings
  • Coordinating Advocacy Days during the legislative session that bring advocates to the Capitol to discuss legislative issues.
  • Performs other administrative duties as assigned and required to meet the mission and goals of the Public Policy Department
